The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced a recall of frozen deep sprouted mat (moth) and deep sprouted moong from Chetak LLC due to possible Salmonella contamination. Salmonella can cause serious illness in vulnerable individuals such as young children, elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems.
The recalled deep sprouted mat and moong beans were distributed nationwide in retail stores under the following Lot numbers:
